01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

You can round off a meal with a few pieces of sushi, or settle in with drinks and add tempura and small plates. Stand Fuji Center makes it easy to tailor your order to your appetite and mood. Sushi options include seared sardine and raw octopus at ¥200 each, as well as selections such as sea bream, yellowtail and salmon, with some offered as 2 pieces for ¥300. Diners order each item separately, but one reviewer liked the striped jack nigiri so much that they quickly ordered another. Others have noted that the smaller pieces make a satisfying end to a meal, so the menu works whether you want to sample several kinds or just have a little sushi at the end.

Tempura is another option. One diner praised the crisp batter on pieces fried in front of them. The menu includes shiitake mushrooms, lotus root, Japanese whiting and prawns, as well as fresh fish with plum and shiso. Small plates add variety beyond sushi, too. For something more substantial, consider the crab croquette: one customer described it topped with salmon roe and crab meat, with hot cream inside. It makes a heartier counterpoint to the seafood snacks and nigiri.

To drink with your sushi, the menu lists draft beer and tea-based drinks such as genmai green tea highballs and jasmine highballs. The oden set lets you choose 3 items from daikon radish, potato, thick fried tofu, egg, chikuwa fish cake and gobō-ten fish cake for ¥380. It suits an evening of adding small plates to your order rather than sitting down to a large meal. One visitor, for example, paired sushi and tempura with beer and chūhai and said they were full after spending about ¥3,500. Your bill will depend on what you order, but you can make the meal your own by focusing on sushi or adding snacks and oden.

The restaurant is also described as suitable for solo dining, and one visitor wrote about eating sushi at the counter. Payment is cash only, so come prepared. Opening hours are 18:00–23:00 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and 13:00–23:00 on Saturday and Sunday. It is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
